History: Built by Lola for Team LeMans (LeMans Co. Ltd.), a very successful Japanese race team, to run in the Formula Nippon series. Team LeMans was consistently successful in the series and drivers Satoshi Motoyama and Koji Yamanishi dominated the ’99 season. Motoyama was in contention for the driver’s title until the final round, but ultimately finished 2nd. Team LeMans finishes 2nd in the team point standings.

Condition: The engine was recently rebuilt by Tomei, a well-respected Formula Nippon certified shop in Japan. Since the rebuild the engine has been run in two vintage race events. Upon arrival in the U.S., Symbolic Motor Car Company’s race mechanics went through the car completely. It is currently race-ready and fine-tuned (setup sheets available). The ignition is a brand new EFI unit (complete with new spare) and was over $10,000 to design build and install. Further updates include a state of the art steering wheel, dash, Pectel engine management system and Stack data recorder.
